“The most effective way to do it, is to do it.” — Amelia Earhart
Hi friends,
Are you sipping a PSL whilst reading this newsletter? Whether you’re ready or not, autumn is inching its way closer. Even though summer is my favorite season, I love switching my golf apparel from racerbacks to sweaters and skorts to joggers. You’ll see the Puma jumpsuit that I’ll be wearing all season, below.
In the world of Fore the Ladies events, we held our first driving range meetup in N.J., but figured it was time for a national function. Drum roll please …
We’re hosting our first virtual event!
In partnership with our friends at Five Iron Golf, we’re hosting a Golf 101 virtual event for women (and guys, too) to learn the basics of the game and ask all of your burning questions about golf. The event is September 30 from 6-7 p.m. EST and you can find all the details here. I hope to see you and your friends there!
Sara, Brooke and I are excited to bring you our latest finds - enjoy!

September Finds
drinking
Giving the classic Moscow Mule a twist with this Orange Pineapple Moscow Mule. Vodka mixed with fresh lime juice, sweet orange juice, pineapple, and topped off with ginger beer. It’s vibrant, light and so refreshing, perfect for summer nights, and the 19th hole happy hour. - Brooke
wearing
I saw Ashley Mayo donning this adorable Puma golf jumpsuit in Golf.com’s Fall 2020 Style Guide and knew I needed it. While Ashley is a bit taller than my 5 foot stature, I felt like I could still make it work since the pants are tailored to a jogger. This piece is extremely comfortable and I can’t wait to layer it with a sweater this fall. - Abby
listening
Sophia Popov joined the No Laying Up podcast within 48 hours of her 2020 AIG Women's Open victory at Royal Troon. I loved her and Chris Solomon's conversation about her journey with the game - from a successful collegiate career to overcoming Lyme disease - as well as her emotion in capturing her first major title. If you're looking to learn about more female professional golfers, this is a fantastic listen and definitely made me an even bigger fan. - Abby
carrying
Loving my Titleist Players 4 bag that I purchased earlier this summer. It has good pockets, comes with both one-shoulder and two-shoulder super comfy straps, and is very light. I've gotten lots of compliments with my all-white colorway, and there a few other chic color combos (Navy/Mint and Island Red, for example) that made it a hard final decision. - Sara
Ladies of Golf: Amanda Balionis
This was one of my favorite conversations in our Ladies of Golf series (who am I kidding, I love them all). Amanda Balionis joined CBS Sports in 2017 as a reporter for the network’s golf coverage, working select tournaments, and joined the team full time in 2018. She also serves as a sideline reporter for select NFL ON CBS games and CBS Sports Network college football games. We discuss Amanda's path to CBS, covering golf vs. football, having thick skin and social media, athlete activism and so much more. -Abby

The U.S. Open: Both tennis and golf! Thanks to the revised golf schedule these two events now overlap giving us an awesome three weeks of U.S. Open. Can we do this every year? - Sara
