Atlanta: Happy Hour 9, playing event

Fore the Ladies is hosting a 9-hole Happy Hour! That's right, we're taking our skills to the golf course at Bobby Jones GC for a post-work round.

Tee times will begin at 5:20 p.m. and when you register you can tell us who you'd like to play with or we'll pair you with someone! Please arrive about 20 minutes before your tee time, which will be provided the week of the event.

For this event, you're welcome to play as you want. Whether that's a scramble or just playing your own ball, these events are the nuts and bolts. You come. You meet other golfers. You play golf. You have fun and pick up when you've had enough playing a hole ;) There is not a formal program, this is simply an opportunity to meet and play with like-minded golfers.

If you don't know what a scramble is, it's a format to play golf. The FTL Scramble format includes four golfers all on the same team playing together. Each team member hits a tee shot on each hole. The team then collectively decides which of the four balls is in the best position to play next. After the team decides which ball is best, they mark its position with a tee. Each player retrieves their ball (if it is still retrievable), and plays a shot from that newly designated position. This procedure is repeated for each shot until a ball is holed.

The highest score you'll take on a hole is a double bogey (2-over par for that hole). Once your group knows they'll double bogey, pick up and move on to the next hole! NBD ;)

A few additional things to know:

• This isn't an official tournament, so don't get it twisted! It's an opportunity to play golf with like-minded golfers and have fun out on the course.
• If your group doesn't want to keep score, no problem. We're here to have fun.
• Each ticket includes 9 holes and a cart
• Skill level doesn't matter! That's the benefit of playing a scramble, you can take the best shot of the group and play from there.
• After the round, you're welcome to hang out, have some drinks and watch everyone wrap up!
